Kapitech runs on your iPhone or iPad. These are the questions we get most often, with the exact screen to tap. If yours isn't here, write to support@kapitech.app.
Open Settings in Kapitech, go to Kapitech Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought Kapitech with. If it still says no purchase was found, email support@kapitech.app with your iPhone model and iOS version.
The free version has unlimited expenses, one budget, one savings goal and three debts. Pro removes those limits and adds export to CSV, PDF and JSON. Pro also unlocks the full payment schedule for each debt, the Extra Payment Calculator and the "What extra money does" rows in your payoff plan. The price in your currency is on the Pro screen.
Screens: Settings > Kapitech Pro (upgrade). Export: Settings > Data Management > Export Data. Payment Schedule and Extra Payment Calculator: open a debt. "What extra money does": Debts > Your payoff plan.
No. If you downloaded Kapitech before the free version came out, you keep everything and there's nothing new to buy. The app checks your purchase history when you open it online. If you still see the Pro screen on a new phone, go to Settings, then Kapitech Pro, then Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.
Your budgets, expenses, debts and goals are stored on your iPhone or iPad. Kapitech has no server that holds them, and you don't need an account to use it. Each device keeps its own copy, so an expense you add on your iPhone won't show up on your iPad. To move your data to a new phone, restore your device backup.
Open Debts and tap "Your payoff plan" at the top of the list. Snowball pays the smallest balance first, so you get quick wins that keep you going. Avalanche pays the highest interest rate first, which saves the most interest over time. Each method shows your debt-free date, how long it takes, the interest you'll pay and the order your debts get paid in. The method that saves you more interest is marked "Less interest".
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap the + button, search for Kapitech and pick the Debt-free date widget in small or medium. The widget shows the date you'll be debt-free. The medium size also has a Log expense button. Tapping anywhere else on the widget opens the Debts tab.
Yes. Say "Log an expense in Kapitech" or "Add an expense in Kapitech" to Siri, or "Log spending in Kapitech". You can also add the Log Expense action in the Shortcuts app, or assign it to your Action Button. Shortcuts asks for the amount, and you can add a category and a note.
